Banana Bread with Honey

There’s nothing better than a warm, fresh, homemade loaf of banana bread — except for warm, fresh, homemade banana bread with honey! Indulge in this timeless classic with a twist, and say hello to an irresistible treat, perfect for any occasion!

What you will need:

  • 1/2 cup of honey

  • 1/3 cup of butter

  • 1 tsp. of vanilla

  • 2 eggs

  • 3/4 cups of whole wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup of unbleached flour

  • 1/2 cup of rolled oats

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon of nutmeg

  • 11

    /2 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 3/4 cups of brown sugar

  • 1 cup of ripe banana, mashed

  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips

How to make it:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together honey, vanilla, and butter until fluffy.

  2. Add eggs to the mixture, whisking until thoroughly combined.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients.

  4. Mix mashed bananas into the dry ingredients.

  5. Blend the dry and wet ingredients until fully incorporated.

  6. Stir in chocolate chips.

  7. Spread the mixture into a greased loaf pan.

  8. Bake at 325°F for 50 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  9. Allow the bread to cool before slicing and savoring each delicious bite.

Please note:

  • You can swap chocolate chips for walnuts or even include both for added texture and flavor.

  • For a delightful twist, consider adding blueberries and cranberries to make your banana bread even more delicious!
