BEE-NATOMY 101

We are excited to announce that our newest exhibit will be opening Friday, September 13th from 3-6 p.m. and Saturday, September 14th from 11 a.m - 2 p.m.!

BEE-NATOMY 101 will be an intricate look into the dynamic anatomy of the amazing honeybee. A deep dive into the bodies of our buzzy little buddies. These winged wonders have some incredible features that we are sure you'll be thrilled to learn more about.

Special grand opening weekend activities:

The gift shop will be open during admission hours, featuring a unique selection of local honey in our honey vault and bee memorabilia.

Kids (12 and under) get in FREE throughout the opening weekend and a free Honeybee Discovery Center pin to the first 50 visitors, making it the perfect opportunity for a family outing. Tickets are available to purchase at the door, $3 for adults.

Enjoy a FREE scoop of Shubert’s honey ice cream on us during opening weekend.

Dive into the amazing world of Queen Honeybees. Learn about the vital role the queen bee plays in the hive and how she unifies her colony. Learn about royal jelly, how many eggs a queen can lay in a day and about why a swarm happens. Open September 8th, 2023 through June 7, 2024.

On display are artifacts and photographs from various time periods that help to illustrate the story of almond farming, harvesting and production. The mission of the Honeybee Discovery Center is to advance the publics understanding of Honeybees and to create and promote a culture of bee awareness.
