Sweet Potato Casserole with Honey!

Celebrate the holidays with a delightful sweet potato casserole that features a luscious honey glaze! This dish combines the natural sweetness of baked sweet potatoes with creamy textures and a crunchy topping, creating a comforting and satisfying side that will elevate your festive meal.
How to make it:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 2-quart baking dish.
Prepare Sweet Potatoes: Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into chunks. Boil in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.
Mash Sweet Potatoes: In a large bowl, mash the sweet potatoes until smooth. Stir in honey, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the sweet potato mixture into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Prepare the Topping: In a small bowl, mix the chopped pecans or walnuts with brown sugar. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the sweet potato layer. Then, evenly distribute the mini marshmallows on top.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until heated through and the topping is golden and the marshmallows are toasted.
Serve: Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
