With our hands-on activity, students will not only learn but also visually experience the wonders of pollination in action!

Beyond the Buzz: The Anatomy of a Honey Bee

Unravel the mysteries of the buzzing world with "The Anatomy of a Honey Bee!” In this captivating lesson and activity, students will dive into the intricate anatomy of bees. Discover how each part plays a crucial role in pollination.

But wait, there's more! At the end of the lesson, students will put their newfound knowledge to the test and will build their very own bee!

What does a Beekeeper do and Who Lives in the Hive?

Learn about the fascinating world of beekeeping and discover the secrets of the hive! Join us as we explore the vital role of a beekeeper and which bees reside within the bustling beehive. Through captivating visual aids, students will journey into the heart of beekeeping, uncovering the tools of the trade, including smokers, brood chambers, frames, and the iconic beekeeper's uniform. In addition, children will have the unique opportunity to observe live bees up close, gaining firsthand insight into their remarkable world.

Mystery Scents Matching Game: Let’s Learn about Pheromones 

In this activity, students will uncover the fascinating world of bee communication through their antennae and sense of smell. Paired up with cups containing mysterious scents, students will learn to communicate like a bee. They must rely solely on their sense of smell without verbal communication to identify their partner's matching scent.

Beeswax and the Geometry of Honeycomb

Join us for a captivating presentation highlighting the process of how bees make beeswax! Explore the ways honey bees use the beeswax they create and how humans use it. Learn about the hive and discover the diverse roles of bees, each with their own vital job in the bustling community.
