Glenn County Community Action Day
Join us for a day of collective service in the City of Orland, where volunteers will plant native pollinator plants along the sidewalk and median of 4th Street. Volunteer efforts will contribute to a more sustainable and resilient community!
The service project offers an opportunity for community volunteers to contribute to the effort to increase the number of native pollinator plants in green spaces within the City of Orland, which are crucial to a healthy ecosystem. This opportunity is made possible through partnerships at the state and local levels, including the City of Orland, Honeybee Discovery Center, Glenn County Master Gardeners, Keep California Beautiful, Keep America Beautiful, and the California Climate Action Corps, a program of California Volunteers, Office of the Governor. Volunteers are welcome to arrive between 9:30 am and Noon for check-in and are requested to volunteer for a minimum of 2 hours:
9:30 - 12:00 pm: Check-in Open
10:00-10:30 am: Welcome and Safety Briefing
10:30-2:00 pm: Volunteer activities

SHOW ME THE HONEY!
The Honeybee Discovery Center is excited to host its annual fundraiser, Show Me the Honey!, a Charity Casino Night that’s sure to be all the buzz on Thursday, November 13th from 5:30 - 9 p.m. at Four Corners Hall.
We are foregoing the traditional fundraising dinner for a night of fun and friendship along with food and prizes. While you catch up with friends old and new, try your luck at charity casino tables. This is not a real casino - there will be no cash exchanged - all winnings will convert into tickets for amazing prizes! A $95 ticket includes food, a drink ticket, and $10 worth of casino chips!
This is an exciting way to have some fun while supporting a meaningful cause - your Honeybee Discovery Center and our future plans.
